A Game-Changing Chrome Extension: Picture in Picture

As an avid video watcher, I always strive to enhance my viewing experience. That's why I decided to try out the Picture in Picture Chrome extension. With a total rating of 4.7 out of 5 based on user reviews, I knew I was in for something special.

Picture in Picture is a Chrome extension that brings the convenience of a floating video player to your browsing experience. By enabling the PiP mode, you can watch videos from platforms like YouTube in a floating window while continuing to browse other sites or use different applications.

One of the standout features of Picture in Picture is the ability to open YouTube videos in a mini-player. This means you can enjoy your favorite content while multitasking, without having to switch between tabs or sacrifice screen space. It's like having a personal video assistant that follows you wherever you go online.

Using Picture in Picture is simple and seamless. Just find the video you want to watch and click on the "Floating Picture in Picture" (PiP) mode. The video will then play in a floating window, allowing you to freely navigate through other websites without missing a beat.

However, it's important to note that while you can browse other sites, it's recommended to keep the original tab open for optimal performance. Picture in Picture is designed to enhance your video-watching experience while ensuring privacy and security.

Many users have praised Picture in Picture for its functionality and convenience. Niko Cera, a satisfied user, mentions a small issue with loading Microsoft's community website but ultimately finds the extension to be a valuable addition.

David Faustino raises a concern about the extension's impact on Microsoft's support page, but it's important to note that this issue may be specific to his setup. It's always a good idea to test extensions and ensure compatibility with your browsing needs.

Bob Dob also had a similar experience with the Microsoft Answers webpage but highlights the value of finding a Chrome extension that supports multi-PiP functionality like Firefox.

While some users, like Tyler and micael Marquez, had less positive experiences, it's important to remember that every individual's browsing environment can differ, and results may vary.

Despite these isolated instances, the majority of users, including hussein and Ayrton Oliveira, have found Picture in Picture to be a very good extension, providing an enhanced viewing experience on various browsers.

Picture in Picture not only supports YouTube but also offers a floating panel for all video sites. This lightweight addon allows you to access videos with just one click, making it easier than ever to enjoy videos in PiP mode across different platforms.

It's important to mention that Picture in Picture for YouTube respects your privacy and is developed and maintained independently. While it is not affiliated with or supported by Google Inc., it provides a valuable feature that enhances your video-watching experience.

In conclusion, Picture in Picture is a game-changing Chrome extension that brings the power of a floating video player to your browsing experience. With its easy-to-use interface, support for various platforms, and respect for privacy, it's no wonder that it has garnered a high rating and positive user reviews. Give Picture in Picture a try and take your video watching to the next level.

Requests access to all sites and then alters pages. I also saw changes to answers.microsoft.com I had odd and multiple ads injected into youtube the media control actually worked for me, but only in browser windows. So though the video stayed on top if I switched windows, the media controls did not. In order to display the media controls the extension requests access to every site, so once I changed access to "on click only" the media controls stopped too. Don't use this. Or download an older version before peoples complaints started. There are lots of other alternatives on the store.

While this extension does play videos in a mini window, it interrupts the activity of certain websites/extensions such as LastPass autofill and Microsoft Community. For example, this page doesn't show user posts/comments while the extension is enabled: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/i-have-tried-almost-everything-to-fix-error/7c70c77a-0689-4e00-881e-46b0c42c25ff I contacted the developer directly over email about this issue a month ago but got no answer...

We need a lot more options in the extension settings. 1 - Option to move the video control to the floating player itself, not to a separate bar as it is now. In general, it's wildly strange that the control is made in a separate bar somewhere on the web page, and not just in the floating window itself. 2 - More precise adjustment of the position of the floating player. For example, I get annoyed with the indents from the edge of the screen. I'd like to remove them in the extension settings. But I can't. Because you've forbidden me to do so. 3 - It would be desirable to make the button to launch the floating window right over the video itself on the web page. A great example of a floating player made natively in Yandex Browser.

Perfect. Makes big size video. Other extensions has small window. Also this has controls. Others dont have. But sadly it shows controls only when video youtube tab is open.

no play or pause in video?

This extension is blocking some websites from rendering correctly, that's a shame because it actually works very well :/

THIS EXTENSION CONTAINS MALWARE AS OTHERS HAVE STATED, THIS WILL STOP YOU FROM BEING ABLE TO VISIT CERTAIN WEBSITES LIKE THE MICROSOFT ANSWERS WEBSITE, AS WELL AS OTHERS. IF YOU HAVE THIS INSTALLED, REMOVE IT AT ONCE. IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME, YOU CAN VERIFY THIS FOR YOURSELF, JUST GO TO THE FOLDER WHERE THE EXTENSION SOURCE CODE IS LOCATED ON YOUR MACHINE (IT'LL BE IN A FOLDER NAMED pnanegnllonoiklmmlegcaajoicfifcm -- YOU CAN SEARCH FOR THIS ON YOUR MACHINE). CREATE A ZIP ARCHIVE OF THE FOLDER AND THEN UPLOAD IT TO AN ANALYZING WEBSITE LIKE VIRUSTOTAL AND YOU WILL SEE.
